[Anodrac is out and about on this slightly chilled night, doing absolutely nothing in particular. No plans, no events... just her and the cold air.]

[She's not particularly bothered by it, having lived in similar conditions all of her life. If anything, she would much prefer this cold to the horrible heat of the summer months.]

[So, on this nippy, yet clear night, she can be seen spotted sitting at the fountain, or on the steps of the library, just listening to whatever sounds drift on by.]

[She seems like she would enjoy someone to talk to, but is otherwise content with hanging about. As long as you don't try to attack her.]

[Well, now that it's been a few days since the event, things are calmer. It was fun, pretending to steal treasure and kidnapping princesses and all, but... well, it wasn't really her element.]

[So now, Anodrac's in the library, practicing something that looks a lot like writing. She didn't have much of an interest in it before, but meeting one of the knights during the event... well, it made her realize that her methods of communication were limited. What if someone were deaf? It wouldn't make much sense, trying to communicate with them only through speaking...]

[As a result of her tireless practicing, there are countless papers scattered about the table, scrawled with sloppy, lopsided sentences in both English and some other language, and a few (dozen) pencils reduced to barely usable nubs.]

[Once she's done with her writing, she decides to pack up and head around the village, mostly to sight-see and sit idly near the fountain. A loosely bound book with her makeshift "homework" tucked into it will be at her side...]

[Until a brief gust of wind blows the loose sheets away, at which point she will start desperately scrambling to retrieve them.]

A-Ah! Stop those papers!

[Anodrac's video feed starts abruptly; the book is thrown against a tree, opening just enough to catch the winged woman crumpling to her knees, hands clamped over her large ears. Underneath the disheveled locks of hair hanging over her face is an expression of unbearable pain, tears streaming from the corners of her clenched-shut eyes.]

It hurts. It hurts, it hurts, it hurts...

[Her voice seems even softer than usual, so much so that the journal barely picks it up. To Anodrac, however, her own voice is unbearably loud; everything seems so much louder than before, even the barely-audible rustling of the wind through the trees. Her ears are picking up every sound around her now, overloading her senses to the point of painful disorientation.]

Make it stop. Make it stop...

[Her pleading eventually stops, and she makes her way over to the journal. Reaching out pitifully, she closes it, cutting off the feed.]

[Quite some time later, she has finally made herself out of the woods, and is one of the roads on her way home -- more specifically, she's just managed to pass house 55. At times she's walking, albeit slowly and unsteadily; other times, she's collapsed onto her knees again, trying to keep her head from exploding with pain.]

((OOC: As a side effect of the Mallynapping, Anodrac's got hyper-sensitive hearing, even for her own species. So, for those that would encounter her on her agonizing trek home, it might not be too noticeable at first...))

[After spending the better part of the month at home -- not counting the whole event with her wandering about Luceti like a 4-year-old child, of course -- Anodrac is going about her business in town. Getting groceries, sitting by the fountain... pretty much anywhere that she can get to, she'll be at.]

[It doesn't feel... right, however. She's at peace here, don't get her wrong, but... living here in Luceti just isn't the same. To not have any responsibilities... to not see any of her people...]

[Beneath her peaceful surface is a turbulent storm of homesickness. So, while she's out and about today, feel free to notice her less-comforting-than-usual smile and whatever else you can notice about her mood.]

[In the past couple of days, Anodrac has taken the time to finally reclaim her original clothing (consisting of a long purple dress with white trim and a beige cotton sash of sorts) and get herself moved into the Seventh Floor of Community Building 3. Of course, her new abode is bare outside of the basic furnishings, but that's not an issue to her.]

[What IS an issue, however, is the fact that there's a heat wave outside. And we all know that heat rises... so her humble home, Room 34, is unbearably hot to her. As a result, every possible entryway into her room is thrown open in an attempt to get a decent breeze.]

[In spite of her efforts, however, things don't seem to be quite as cool as Anodrac would like; so, those paying verrrryyyyyy close attention to their journals can hear some quiet, not-very-pleased murmuring coming from her feed.]

This heat is almost unbearable... Dear Sirym, what I wouldn't give to be on a mountaintop right about now...

[For those that live in Building 3, feel free to wonder why she's got her door wide open/stop on by/offer the poor woman some sort of relief. For anyone not in the area... well, you can still offer tips on how to keep cool.]

[It's been a while since Anodrac's arrival, and she's had all the ins-and-outs of living in Luceti explained to her, for the most part.]

[So, today, her journal lies open on the railing of one of the bridges, pointed upward as it records its broadcast. Those that are watching will see... something... glide about in the cloud-filled sky, with a rather impressive wingspan to boot. It circles around a few times before coming in for a landing, just out of the camera's view.]

[Seconds later, a sopping wet Anodrac gingerly picks up the journal, a wide, satisfied smile on her face.]

As you can see, I've been enjoying myself now that I'm a little more at ease with things here. Though this weather is not ideal weather for exercising my wings.

[She laughs softly.]

Speaking of enjoying oneself... what do you all like to do to relax?

[That being said, feel free to A: stumble into her general area or B: reply via voice. Voice replies will probably be later in the day, when she's dry and somewhat safe from the weather. Stumbling into her... well, that'll be pretty immediate.]

((OOC: Sorry for the late second post. Most of my time was spent asking a mod [via proxy/a friend, anyway] if Anodrac could still fly via her natural wings. The answer seemed to be a yes, for the most part, so... have a flying bat lady? orz))

[The feeling of grass beneath her was a bit startling, and she shot up into a seated position; had she been attacked on the way to Bau by archers? Did some some of illness overtake her while she was traveling? Once her head cleared enough for her to think properly, however, she realized that she was thankfully unharmed -- save for the dull ache between her large wings, which she then proceeded to spend several moments examining -- and then rambling over, as she talks to herself about the complete impossibility of having a feathered set of wings on her person that are entirely too small to be of use...]

[... After she spends some time mulling over the illogical details in her head, she finally rises and takes a step forward -- her toes nudge the journal, which leads to her bending over and picking it up carefully. Her fingers trace over its surface for a moment before she speaks.]

This is a weird turn of events, indeed...

[Tucking the small book beneath her arm, she begins to walk on ahead.]

[After a long while of walking, the residents of the town can see a dark-haired woman with two large appendages tucked behind her back. Her darkened eyes are looking straight ahead, though her ears seem to be twitching and moving, ever so faintly, as though trying to pinpoint noises.]

[Luceti, meet Anodrac. Clearly, she's unfamiliar with her surroundings, and a little bit nervous, to boot. Anyone want to be the one to welcome her?]

(I'm absurdly late with putting this up and I apologize.)

Please direct any con-crit with my portrayal of Anodrac here. I understand it's a little hard to judge an original character, but if there are things that you guys dislike about how I play her, I want to hear them. There's no improvement without knowing what's wrong!

(If someone could direct me to how to disable IP logging and such so I'm not a gigantic fail, that would be nice. :Db)
